Starting from scratch. Bought a forclosure one year ago with poorly maintained/designed landscaping. Would like boulders and shade trees, possibly a dry creek. Yard is smallish/medium in size. Built on a small hill, may need a retaining wall?

My yard is about 900 sq ft and I need the grass redone and some ground cover or something nice around the bushes I just planted. Looking for a landscaping company to do the job right.

Landscaping walls add a different dimension to your garden and create an illusion of height and depth to enhance your garden. If you have a low lying garden, you can add a garden retainer wall to give the illusion of height. If your garden has two separate features in close proximity to each other, you can help demarcate these areas by installing a masonry garden wall. A large singular landscape with no walls to break down the garden can look quite unimpressive. Landscaping walls help create little blocks of beauty for your garden that please the eye. Garden retaining walls can inject fresh charm into your garden, lawn or patio.
Walls are commonly made of stone or blocks. Brick and timber walls can also be designed to suit the personality of your garden. For instance, a Japanese or Zen inspired garden that has quietly flowing streams, lily ponds, rock gardens and low wood bridges can be enhanced by installing timber or bamboo walls. A professional landscape designer or retaining wall company will take into consideration the theme of the garden, and the size before designing a garden retainer wall for you.
Professional retaining wall companies are able to design retaining walls that are perfectly suited to the ambience of your garden. For instance, a Japanese style garden with quietly flowing brooks and rock gardens can be enhanced by using rustic timber or bamboo walls. Walls can also be made of stone, bricks and blocks.
